People give us a hard time about how small our main supermarket, the Piggly Wiggly, is. We tell them, once we get past Labor Day, it isn’t crowded at all. Actually we kind of like it because when you come to Edisto regularly you always see someone you know there no matter what the time of year. And part of why it sometimes gets a bit crowded is the huge variety of things they stock. You may be amazed what you can find there. And, if you only need a quart of milk or a six pack of soft drinks the convenience stores will get you in and out in a hurray.
